A simple message posted inside a school near Washington D.C. has made administrators angry. The message said, “It’s Okay To Be White”. While the message seems simple enough, school officials believe it was posted to divide students along racial lines.

It’s difficult to understand how this message is wrong, while at the same time similar messages like ‘Black Is Beautiful’ are not. Isn’t it time for everyone to grow up and treat members of all races equally and with respect? MLK dreamed of a world where everyone was judged on the quality of their character, not the color of their skin. However, it’s difficult to judge a person’s character now days, when conduct that used to be wrong is now considered perfectly acceptable.
