You can love him. You can hate him. You can even be indifferent to him, or be heartened by his achievements while remaining uncomfortable with his brash, aggressive style, considering it too rowdy, too "unpresidential." But anyone with an ounce of integrity has to admit that when he's right, he's right.

And he damned sure is.

President Donald Trump accused the Democrats on Tuesday of conducting a “coup,” to remove him from office.

He wrote:

As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP, intended to take away the Power of the People, their VOTE, their Freedoms, their Second Amendment, Religion, Military, Border Wall, and their God-given rights as a Citizen of The United States of America!

And he's right.

Trump said during private remarks at a reception in New York City after the United Nations General Assembly:

We’re at war. These people are sick, they’re sick and nobody’s called it out like I do. I don’t understand, people are afraid to call it out, they are afraid to say that the press is crooked, we have a crooked press, we have a dishonest media.

Bold mine, just to emphasize how right he is.

Those remarks were later leaked to the New York Times.

Because of course they were—thereby proving he was right to secure his communications with foreign leaders, denying access to nefarious Democrat-Socialist/DeepState/IC conspirators.

Trump also suggested last week that the whistleblower and his informants were spies who were possibly guilty of treason.

“I want to know who’s the person who gave the whistle-blower the information, because that’s close to a spy,” he said. “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? With spies and treason, right? We used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”

Right again, straight down the line and by the numbers.

He also accused Rep. Adam Schiff of treasonous behavior after the House Intelligence Committee Chairman made up a version of the president’s conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to make it appear worse than it was.

“It bore NO relationship to what I said on the call,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Monday. “Arrest for Treason?”

Right, and right on. Arrest, try, and then promptly hang that slimy, bubble-headed tapeworm by his pencil-neck until he is dead, dead, dead. Y'know, like we used to do in the old days, when we were smart. Update! This. This right here.

The subpoenas are flying like feces in the monkey cage. If you’ve ever had your picture taken with President Donald Trump, anyone named Trump, or walked past a Trump property, there’s a better than even chance House Democrats will demand answers and documents from you in the coming weeks. Maybe it’s time to turn the tables.

The idea of mutually assured destruction is used to keep order, not only in the Cold War but in politics in general. Dirty tricks and lies have always had their place, but they’re now the currency and the language of the left. Making them pay up, even a little, might be the only way to restore some semblance of sanity.

While Democrats are dragging anyone they can think of in front of nearly every committee in the House, desperately looking for anything to justify their political “hail Mary,” maybe the Senate should involve itself in the “hunt for truth.”

There’s nothing stopping Republicans in the Senate from calling someone like Congressman Adam Schiff to testify before some relevant committee, perhaps the Judiciary Committee.

Wouldn’t it be fun to see him under oath, testifying under penalty of perjury, about what he knew and when he knew it? Democrats dragged Corey Lewandowski up to the Hill for a hearing with no other point than to embarrass him and the president (which backfired on them horribly), maybe that favor should be returned by Senate Republicans.

Schiff has made many declarative, unequivocal statements of presidential crimes, claiming to have seen evidence himself. The American people deserve to know, under penalty of perjury, what exactly he knows that he’s keeping to himself.

That's the very least that ought to be done to the despicable scoundrel—no more than the barest beginnings of the trouble, woe, and torment he so richly deserves.
