At Atlanta:

Johan Kappelhof's own goal in the 26th minute proved decisive as Atlanta United, thanks to accumulating the highest number of points in the past two seasons, clinched a berth in next year's CONCACAF Champions League by defeating the visiting Chicago Fire 2-1.

At Washington:

Wayne Rooney scored twice (8', PK-74') as DC United locked up a berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs by defeating visiting New York City 3-1 for their fifth straight win (their longest winning streak since 2007) while stretching their unbeaten run to nine games.

At Montreal:

Ignacio Piatti scored twice (PK-74', 89') as the Montreal Impact kept their flickering playoff chances alive after blanking visiting Toronto FC 2-0.

At Orlando, Florida:

Yoshi Yotun (PK-57') and Sacha Kljestan (PK-90'+6) each scored once in the second half as Orlando City came from behind to knock off the visiting Columbus Crew 2-1

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Kaku's penalty kick in the 69th minute lifted the New York Red Bulls to a 1-0 road win over the Philadelphia Union in a battle of playoff-bound clubs. 

At Frisco, Texas:

Daniel Salloi (45'), Roger Espinoza (64'), and Johnny Russell (PK-87') each scored once as Sporting Kansas City took over top spot in the Western Conference standings after their 3-0 road domination of FC Dallas.

At Houston:

Raul Ruidiaz scored the winning goal in the 87th minute as the Seattle Sounders defeated the Houston Dynamo 3-2 on the road.

At Los Angeles:

Yordy Reyna (PK-22') and Jordan Mutch (65') each scored once as the Vancouver Whitecaps came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with the Los Angeles Football Club.

Diego Rossi (5', 15') scored both of the hosts' goals.

The Whitecaps were still eliminated from playoff contention.

At Minneapolis:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (30'), Ola Kamara (50'), and Romain Alessandrini (51') each scored once as the Los Angeles Galaxy kept their playoff chan
