Is This MY Story?

Message from P'taah,

through Jani King.

January 2018

Q1: I'm still thinking about the games that I play and how, if I'm expressing what I feel is love to someone but they are feeling hurt by it, then I feel that I am not loving them enough or completely because if I was, they wouldn't be hurt by it. What am I buying into there?

P'taah: Well, you know, beloved, each of you have your own stories and other people's stories are not your responsibility.

Q1:And yet they are reflecting something to me.

P'taah: By your emotional response, but you see, the only thing that you are required to look at is your own reaction. It gets muddled when you are buying into somebody else's story and thinking that it is your truth. You see?

Q1: This is always a difficult one for me.

Q:  Yes, it's really difficult for me, too, especially when I think I'm being quite loving and quite nice and somebody, particularly my child says, "You're yelling at me" or "You're angry with me," and I wasn't at all. But as you say, what she is reacting to is her perception, is that correct?

P'taah:  That is correct, and you know, it may not, in fact, usually it has nothing to do with you at all. It can be that she has had a very stressful morning, argument with the husband or something, and nothing to do with you.

Q:  I forget that and when I buy into it, it plugs me in so quickly! Faster than you can snap your fingers.

Q1: We are so used to being and playing within the drama so we're in it
before we realize...

Q: That we have other options!

P'taah: You always have another moment to stop for a second and breathe and to remind yourself, "Is this my story?" If it is not your story, you can only say, "The truth is that I love you and I am really sorry that you are upset, but it seems that you are upset about some story of yours, not some story of mine."

Q: Mmhmm.

Q1: Yeah, I think to be able to step back from feeling responsible for those we love is very important..

P'taah: It is.

Q1: That's where I stumble.

P'taah: Because it is very difficult to be a true support if you buy into other people's stories.

Q: Yes, the drama is so delicious.

P'taah: It is. And again, we are saying it is all right to be caught up in the drama, but when you have had enough, stop.

(Laughter!)

Q: Yes.

P'taah: You can go to watch a movie marathon, all day and all night, but some day you may feel that "I have had enough now. I am in overload."

Q1: But to get back to the bigger picture, even though we came in just to have the experience, I still can't get away from feeling that I chose to have the experience so that I would come to know the more of what love was.

P'taah: That is so, but understand that you are not at any moment separate from the love.  And love is the essence of the All-That-Is so it is the very fabric of your being. It is not separate and outside of you.

Q: That still seems like a huge leap but what you've said about how when you're ready to leave the drama, just be quiet and go into the Now moment.

P'taah: Beloved, it is only necessary just to be still and breathe and to remind yourself of this truth.

Q:  Yeah. So it seems to me there really are two very important take-home messages from our little chat today:  First, it's acknowledging what's going on and being in the Now and then when you're dealing with other people, remembering that how they react to you is their story and not necessarily yours.

P'taah: Indeed and also, beloved, you can talk about love because all of you, all of you, do know about love. Well, we say all of you. There are peoples, those that you may call sociopaths, these are the poor ones who are so removed from this knowing of love that they are driven to crimes against humanity. But we say, for most, it is not difficult to talk about love because love IS, you ARE. It is the fabric of you. It is that which creates your existence, moment by moment.

Q: I guess I still want it to be a feeling...

P'taah:  But it is everything, beloved. It is that which is the feeling. It is that which is existence. It is that which can be an intellectual concept. It is everything. There is nothing which love is not because it is Goddess/God.

Q:  Okay. I can deal with that.

Q1: And what I'm really taking away from this whole conversation is to be who I am enough, to love myself enough, not to judge when I think I'm not being that.

P'taah: Beloved, this is great wisdom, indeed.

Q1: Thank you, P'taah. Yes.

P'taah: Love simply IS.

Q1: And what a glorious thing!

P'taah: Indeed it is, beloved. You may say Goddess/God IS. There is nothing which is not, even that which is the fear. You know, you can liken the fear unto a babe in the dark but when cradled in the arms of mother, you see, the love of mother just encompasses the fear.

So, beloveds, we thank you and now we would suggest that you have some very delicious quiet time and just do something very beautiful for you.

Q: Oh, P'taah, thank you. I will do that.

P'taah: Namaste, beloved ones.
