18-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Her Bed In Georgetown

Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of an 18-year-old woman in Georgetown, according to a tweet by Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody on Saturday.

Sheriff Chody said the incident happened near the Buck Bend area off County Road 176.

An official with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said the woman’s family found her dead in her bed on Saturday. He said they attempted to resuscitate her but were unsuccessful.

Officials said are considering the woman’s death to be suspicious because of her age and because she had no prior medical history. They said when they responded to the scene, there were no obvious signs of suicide.

Officials are awaiting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
