Wife Who Survived Murder-Suicide Attempt Said Husband Was Good Man
Last weekend a couple with two children got into an argument while driving to their home in Montgomery County after attending the man’s high school reunion in Houston. When they arrived at the house, the man, Jason Butler, walked to his pickup truck and took a gun out. His wife, Rachel Butler, was standing in the driveway when he shot her in the chest.
Butler then killed himself with a gunshot to the head. Miraculously, Rachel Butler survived and took the time to talk to a reporter from ABC13 in Houston on the telephone, yesterday. She said that her husband was a good man and a great father to their two children. Rachel had filed for divorce in October, but the two were still living together.
Rachel is currently in the ICU unit of a local hospital.
