They say in America you can sue someone for anything and I guess that’s right. A Texas man, Christopher O’Dell, has filed a lawsuit against Target, because he was tackled by store security as he was fleeing their store after shoplifting. O’Dell is claiming he suffered serious injuries when he hit the ground. He is asking for $10,000,00 in damages.

Christopher also said he was hurt when the security guard held his arm to keep him from running away, while waiting for police to arrive. O’Dell ended up pleading guilty to the shoplifting charge and spent 1-day in jail. All stolen merchandise was recovered. He was checked out by EMS and did not require hospitalization.
