Christopher (Chris) Paul Weiss is being held under a one-million-dollar bond in the McClennan County jail this afternoon. He is to be charged with double-capital-murder in the deaths of Valarie Martinez and their 1-year-old daughter, Azariah.

The bodies of Martinez and the child were found at Tradinghouse Lake on Sunday. The mothers body was located about 20-feet from her vehicle. The child was still strapped in her child-seat. Both had been shot execution style in the head.

When arrested last night in Temple, Texas - Weiss was traveling in his pickup truck with his wife and children. The sheriff believes he was attempting to flee the area when he was taken into custody.
