Two people lost their lives tonight in a fiery crash in Southeast Austin, Texas. According to police, the wreck occurred around 6:00pm on Riverside Dr. and Vargas Rd. The two victims were traveling in the same car, which burst into flames.

The names of the deceased, who were pronounced dead at the scene, have not been released pending notification of the next of kin. Police said, East Riverside Drive is expected to be closed for several hours until at least 9:00pm. This was the second double fatality traffic accident of the day in Austin.
